Superstar Standouts: Megan Thee Stallion's MEGAN

Megan Thee Stallion is one of the greatest female rappers. Her flow is unparalleled. She lacks nothing. Just amazing all around. I was highly looking forward to her third studio album, MEGAN. All of you can probably tell as I reported on all 3 of the record's singles.
There's a lot of good things going on here. Megan, herself, of course is the standout and the album's life and soul. Snake motifs are abound. She aims and fires on "Rattle." She tackles heavy topics on the album which makes you appreciate its message. "Where Them Girls At" bangs.
My one problem with the album, and with a few of Stallion's songs overall is that the hooks are lacking here. She's never been one to really chase radio hits or earworms, but there's not much to latch onto here to keep you coming back for more. Like the hook for "Thot Shit," "Body," or even one like on the additive "Sweetest Pie." She tends to make up for that with production or a catchy bar or two that's worthy of repeating it like on "Cry Baby" or "HISS." Then there are times that she mostly makes up for this with production like "Cobra" or "Boa." There's just an extra 10% missing here on the new songs.
I cannot emphasize this enough. It's not the rapping that lacks. It's fantastic. But if you're expecting a golden hook that you will be telling all your friends and rapping along with. You might be hard pressed.

Rank: B Rank.
Recommendation: when you want to strike like a snake!
Standouts:
    The singles
    "Where Them Girls At"
    "Rattle"
