Song Spotlight: Luke Combs' "Ain't No Love In Oklahoma"
I've been meaning to talk about this one for awhile. (No surprise, right?) I'm a one-man operation! Give me a break!
Anyways.
I don't know if I've ever said it before here. I think I have. But I watch the sitcoms that come on CMT when I get home from work in the early hours of the morning. So I came across the song of today's article.
Luke Combs released a single from the Twisters soundtrack called "Ain't No Love In Oklahoma," and the man absolutely kills it. His vocals are the main draw. I don't think he has hissed, growled, and been more serious than he is on this song. I absolutely loved his cover of "Fast Car." It's a rare case when I like a cover more than the original, but he has such an emotional voice. And he knows how to use it. Which is a deadly combination.
The music itself is badass with the guitars. It just sounds like a tornado of a song. Dark skies, strong winds, and a lot of risk.
It's just amazing. I get chills when I listen to it! I hope you get the same feeling.
Rank: A...in't No Love In OklAhomA Rank.
Recommendation: when you're caught in a twister
