Song Spotlight: Sabrina Carpenter's "Taste"

We've talked about the album already, but I just wanted to give a shoutout to "Taste." It's gotten even better as time has gone on. It's much fun. The lyrics are playful, tasteful, and complex. It's catchy upon first listen. And it's already a mega hit.
The rock tones fit Carpenter like a glove. The song's pop sensibilities leave her feeling right at home. I said in the Short n' Sweet album review that this song is reminiscent of Katy Perry's "One of the Boys." It's nice to see that special brand of sound and playfulness make a comeback.
There's chant-parts during the bridge before the last chorus. Scream them, chant them, or sing them. Or do all three at one time. They'll be stuck in your head no matter what.
And long live Carpenter's cheekiness. It's amazing.
