Seasonal Styles: Spring 2024

    It's time for a new Seasonal Styles! Flowers are blooming! It's getting warmer outside! My allergies are relentless! I love this time of year. Here are some songs and albums that I think best fit this time of year!

Songs:

1. "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield

    A classic and a throwback. Great for those sunny bright warm days.

2. It's Gonna Be Me by *NSYNC

    It's gonna be May!

    But in all seriousness, the upbeat nature of the song is good for this time of year.

3. "Cranes in the Sky" by Solange

    I recently became a fan of Solange, and I must say that this song is nice and springy!

4. "Kimi wa Melody" by AKB48

    You can't beat AKB48's spring singles!

5. "Lemon" by Kenshi Yonezu

    It hits harder the older you get.

6. "Flower" by Maeda Atsuko

    It still makes me cry!!

Albums:

1. Matsuda Seiko - Pineapple

    "Akai Sweet Pea" and "Nagisa no Balcony" alone make this a spring album. Let these light melodies and flowery lyrics bloom you right into spring!

2. Hirai Ken - FAKIN' POP

    "POP STAR" is upbeat and breezy. Perfect for spring! Plus this album was released in mid-March back in 2008. So, yeah. Spring album.

3. Koda Kumi - W FACE ~Inside~

    "BRIDGET SONG" alone makes this a spring affair, but I bopped to select songs on both Inside and Outside all spring long back in 2017.

And that's our selection for this season! Spring isn't a season that's always represented in pop music, but it's still nice to find spring songs!
