City Pop Radio: Aran Tomoko's Fuyu-Kukan

    Few city pop albums have the attitude, spice, and effortless sexiness that Aran Tomoko's Fuyu-Kukan possesses. This album opens with the banger that is the single "Body to Body." It's 80s pop perfection. There are artists that would kill for a record like that.

    Add in that there's also the trip of production that is "Lonely Night." Then you also have the popular and smooth "Midnight Pretenders." I've been spinning this one a lot lately, and every track has something good to show. Thank God this record finally got the love it deserves in 2022. The Weeknd sampled "Midnight Pretenders" for his song "Out of Time," by the way. Just to show you how boss this song is. And the sample makes that song.

    Then there's the pure fun that is "Hito Natsu no Tapestry." And don't forget "I'm In Love." There's a lot of goodness here in the album's 10 tracks. I think you should give it a shot!
