Rising Suns: Yonezu Kenshi's LOST CORNER
Dude, has it really been 4 years since STRAY SHEEP? No way! Though I'm kinda surprised a follow-up took this long. Yonezu Kenshi's latest offering, LOST CORNER, is a pop experience just like all of his past works.
We start out with a rough, grinding sounding of a song in "RED OUT." I didn't mean that as an insult. It's really... grungy. Which is super cool. He's kinda been going for and exploring this sound for awhile. Especially with his chart-topping global hit "KICK BACK." It's in the same vein. But that grinding beat doesn't give up.
Aina the End features here on "MARGHERITA." It's dancy, it's boppy. It's zany. Totally fun. If you liked Sakurazaka46's latest single, you'll love this as well. It has many layers to it. Yonezu always takes everything to the max. He's an artist that truly needs to be treasured forever. Aina the End sounds amazing here too. She perfectly matches Yonezu's energy.
The album is an astonishing 20 tracks, with a healthy mix of hits we've come to know plus new songs that we will love immediately. It's a great album. Yonezu definitely delivers with this one.
